Every year, an estimated 20,000 youth age out of foster care, and many enter college without the financial or family support most students depend on. Research consistently shows they are far less likely to finish, not for lack of ability, but because of housing insecurity, financial hardship, and limited support systems. DormKind bridges those gaps, making sure students begin college with the essentials they need, and the confidence that someone believes in them.
A Chance To Rewrite Their Story
DormKind was inspired by years of community service and philanthropy shared by a mother and her two daughters, driven by a passion that someone’s circumstances should never define their future. What began as serving others together, grew into a shared mission to meet people where they are, to bring hope, restore dignity, and strengthen communities.
Founded on the belief that every student deserves to begin college with dignity, confidence, and the support they need to thrive, DormKind works to ensure that financial hardship never defines a student’s opportunity for success. Through partnership with corporations, foundations, universities, and community organizations, we help remove barriers so students can focus on achieving their academic goals.
